PhD Social Skills

Goal
Successfully managing a thesis or research project not only depends on obtaining results, but is also strongly connected with effective social skills. A PhD student communicates with different stakeholders: colleagues, supervisors, directors, other students, agencies, subjects, media and the home front. Clear communication can prevent problems and downtime. The training provides a structure of relevant and practical tools, to be applied in the context of the students’ own project environments.

Content
Participants learn about self-presentation and structured communication, conducting an effective dialogue and assertiveness, feedback and handling (potential) conflicts. In all, this training improves communication skills and a sense of control in different situations.
